Hello again! Today we're going to do a booktag!

It's called "Your life in books". As we're two and we never agree, we've decide to put both answers so, Joana's answers comes after the "J" and Anna's answer comes after the "A".

JOHN GREEN

 Hello! Today we're going to learn something about one of the most popular writers nowadays: John Green.



John Michael Green was born on the 24th of August in 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana, but he moved many times while he was a child. He studied in a boarding school named Indian Springs School which is outside of Birmingham, Alabama and which later used his own experiences from the main setting of his first book Looking for Alaska.



Green graduated from Kenyon College in 2000 in English and Religion and he spent five months working as a chaplain in a children's hospital, but his experiences in the hospital watching the suffering of the hospital children inspired him to become an author and later to write the book called The Fault in Our Stars. He lived in Chicago where he worked for the book review journal Booklist as a publish assistant while he was writing Looking for Alaska.

 
His most popular books are Looking for Alaska (2005), An Abundance of Katherines (2006), Paper Towns (2008), Will Grayson, Will Grayson –with David Levithan (2010) and The Fault in Our Stars (2012). John Green's book, The Fault in Our Stars, has been converted to a film and he’s planning adapt his other novels (Paper Towns-2015, Looking for Alaska-2016 and An Abundance of Katherines) to films too.

Nowadays he lives in Indiana with his wife and his two children Henry and Alice and he has a youtube channel with his brother Hank which is named Vlogbrothers where he updates facts about his life and carreer.

JAVIER RUESCAS

Hello again!


Today we are going to talk about a Spanish writer called Javier Ruescas. 

He's 27 years old and he lives in  Madrid. He wanted to be a dolphin tamer but he give up his dream and he finally studied journalism. However he believes that being a journalist won't be his definitive profession and one day he decides to try to write a book and he incredibly stand out like a writer.
He has published a quite few books. The most famous ones are the trilogy of  "Play", "Show" and "Life" and "Cuentos de Bereth" (Bereth's tales). Also "Pulsaciones" (Beats), that he wrote with another Spanish writer, Frances Miralles and "Cronicas de la fortuna" (Fortune's chronicles).




Apart from writting, Javier runs and  is a founding member of "El templo de las mil          puertas", an online book journal. 

He also uploads videos to YouTube, more clearly Book Tube, a subsection of the page dedicated on books.

We love his books because they include a realistic vision of the real world.

LAURA GALLEGO


Hello, today we want to introduce you into one of our favourite writers: Laura Gallego García.

She’s a 37 year old writer that was born on October 11th of 1977. She actually writes books with fantasy and magic theme for young adults.
She discovered that wanted to be a writer when she was only eleven and she started writing a novel together with a friend. Since then she dreamed to be a writer and has studied Spanish at the University of Valencia.
At the age of 21 she managed to participated into a literature competition called El Barco de Vapor and she won getting published her first novel called Finis Mundi that is a novel set in the middle age with some fantasy elements.


Since then she haven’t stopped writing and now she has about thirty books and many of them have been traduced to sixteen languages like English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. Between her novels the most popular ones are Tower chroniclesTwo candles for the devil, Where the trees singFire wings and specially the trilogy Idhún Memories.



Beside her busy life writing and thinking about other novels she likes reading books, specially about fantasy  and science fiction, playing videogames, listening to music and relaxing.


What we like about she is her imagination about creating incredible worlds and characters. Their novels are always different and we wonder how she can have so much imagination. In our opinion she has talent for convince people about her histories and finish loving all of the book because the way she writes.

Know about us

Hello everybody!
We are Anna and Joana and we are students of 3rd of ESO in the school Lestonnac Lleida.
We are going to introduce you into some authors who you maybe know that have written many popular books which now a days have an important "paper" and show you that reading can open doors to new worlds to discover characters that can tell you incredible histories.
